In case you prefer the train please remember to validate your ticket before getting on the train.
If you choose the bus there are many different companies that can bring you in Florence in approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
From Florence the options are
- Taxi, which usually has a fixed rate (22 euro + 1 euro for each piece of luggage);
- Bus, whose rates vary from 6 to 10 € depending on the company.
The bus will take you to Santa Maria Novella train station from where you can reach us by walk following the "By train" instructions.
Palazzo Alfieri is only ten minutes far from Santa Maria Novella train station.
Once outside of the station you can catch a taxi or choose to move by walk. If you dont mind walking just cross the street to get to Piazza Santa Maria Novella and then take Via de' Fossi.
When you reach Piazza Goldoni, turning left along the river, you will arrive at Lungarno Corsini. Palazzo Alfieri is at number 2.
If you arrive from the highway A1, Firenze Impruneta is the right exit. Following the signs towards Firenze, you will arrive to a roundabout next to a large door, Porta Romana. Continue straight on Viale Petrarca, along the walls to the left of Porta Romana. At the third traffic lights turn right onto Viale Ariosto. At the next traffic light turn right again and left at the intersection. At the end of the road cross Vespucci Bridge, turn right (in a Restricted Traffic Zone) and continue on Lungarno Vespucci.
After the traffic light just follow the road in front of you to get to Lungarno Corsini. Palazzo Alfieri is at number 2.
Palazzo Alfieri is located in the historical center, in a restricted traffic area.
As our guest you can access to the restricted area: just tell the number plate at the front desk upon arrival.
Using a telematics program, communication will be forwarded to the Municipality of Florence, in order to avoid administrative fines.
Please pay attention to the signals in order to avoid the pedestrian areas and the streets reserved only for public means.
If you use a GPS, we recommend you to follow our instructions and the road signs: the center of Florence is often subject to changes in road conditions and navigators may not be properly updated.
